What's the best way?
Buy to resell and make a quick profit or buy to rent and deal with the hassles of getting good renters - and holding property? |

Oooh. That's a tough one. I think it's a personal choice.
If you are a handyman DIYer who can spot a good tenant at 20 paces then renting is for you.
If you are a hothead that can spot the stupid people in every situation, then you might be better of selling. |

I never had the stomach to be a landlord, and have always sold the property too early.
There are usually circumstances that keep me from wanting to hold onto property and causing me to sell. |

| I've got the stomach for it - I just don't have the patience. I'd much rather flip than rent. But then, I like the whole DIY experience from fixing up a flip. |

| Personally I think you could do a little bit better profit wise if you held on to the property and rented it. But, you do have to have the patience to deal with renters which could be hard to do. |

| Renting would also only be an option if you were staying in the general area. I would think it would be difficult to keep up with a rental house several hours or more away. |

| my long-term goal is to buy and then hold on to the property by renting it out but i would want to reach that goal by flipping first some properties by selling them; i figured that it could be a great (yet challenging)way to earn greater profits and roll over my money so that i could get a nice property to hold on to for a long time. |
