Hi! I am new to this site and I am a first time home buyer. Bear with me if this may sound like a stupid question. My husband and I are in the process of buying a bank owned town home. Monday we had an appointment at the title company to sign the loan docs. Tuesday (today) was our official "closing" date. We still have no keys. There's a slight chance we will get the keys tomorrow, but probably not. This is what my lender told me...
I had an email from our funder who said title still did not receive the final payoff from the HOA or sewer info, so we do not have the wire in place for tomorrow. There is still a chance we can do things tomorrow if title gets this info early in the morning, but we just are hanging here. I will keep you in the loop tomorrow as things develop and I'm sorry we have to keep waiting.
Is this normal??? Does this usually take this long?? It is soooooo frustrating to know we have closed, but still no keys, so i guess it is not ours yet? our contract stated we had to close by 4 dec (tuesday). so is this a breach of contract or not since we did already sign the docs? I am so confused... and to make it worse, my realtor and i have been bumping heads, so she finds it easier to not keep me in the loop which makes this an even more difficult process... i just need some advice/guidance/insight??
Thanks for anyone who has made it this far in reading this and to anyone who can help me out... |
