Has anyone tried these container moving companies? PODS or SAM? What did you think about them?
These are the ones that drop a contain off at your home, you fill it, then they pick it and either store or drive it to a new location. |

To me it's not going to be worth it unless they also pack it up and then move it in when I get to the new home.
Other wise, the driving is the easy part! |

The way I see it, being able to take your time packing up and even storing some extra stuff so the house shows better is the benifit I envision from using those portable containers.
I'm just wondering how reliable they are. Maybe someone can post their experiences with them? |

| I have used full service moving companies, which are great if you can afford to use them, but not a POD storage service. Sorry! |

| I have seen the PODS used around where I live and there are actually quite a few of them so they might be worth checking out. |

| I have thought about using something similar to PODS for storage reasons. The one I've looked into has the crates already in the truck, you load the crates up drive back to the place and you're done. Not only that but it's about the same price as regular storage. Not sure if i would use them to move things though. |

i do think the same way too. it's better to hire companies which pack for you before helping you move your stuff. |

| I have never personally used these POD storage companies. I don't think it would be a bad idea though. When I moved a long distance I did use a U Pack we move company though and that worked out really well. We packed our stuff up and the gay helped us load and drove our stuff across the country and then helped us unload when we got to our new house. |
